518 Acupuncture, 12 Corporate Drive, Ste 4 Clifton Park, NY 12065
Before becoming a practitioner of Chinese medicine, I taught biology and marveled at the intricacies and natural wisdom of the body. I had a life-changing experience with acupuncture when I was 26; after about 4 treatments, my extreme neck pain and dependence on using an inhaler for asthma were greatly improved. Acupuncture had a profound effect on my quality of life. That, my love for medicine, and belief in treating the root cause of illness inspired me to pursue this rewarding career.
I opened 518 Acupuncture in 2014 after completing my education in Chinese medicine at the New York Chiropractic College. I completed a post graduate Chinese herbal medicine program through the White Pine Institute in 2018 and participated in a Zheng Gu Tui Na program in order to further my skills in Chinese medical massage and bodywork. I treat both musculoskeletal and internal conditions, and incorporate dietary and herbal recommendations, bodywork, and qi gong instruction into treatments. For the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, I use electro-stimulation when appropriate.
The effectiveness of acupuncture and how it works within the body fascinates me; Chinese medicine facilitates healing by teaching the body to heal itself. It does this in a way that promotes balance and encourages well-being without creating harmful side effects.
This area holds a special place in my heart. I especially enjoy spending time in the Adirondacks. I hope to see you at the clinic!
